New MAMUS website

| |
It's time. Or almost time. The current MAMUS site has been around for about 3 years. I had hoped that this would be the vessel for the next 10 years, but unfortunately it's not. Like our bright colors website, I would like to defy convention, "best practice", boredom. If you have a Dell laptop circa 2002, my apologies - but you really need an upgrade. If you read this from some far-off land, and live in a small village there (many of my readers live in far-away exotic places) - please do not take this personally. It's just that designing for these conditions is challenging at best.

I don't want it to be "cute" or overly clever - just smart and forward looking. That does not mean the adoption of every HTML5 widget available. It means finding a screen resolution to work with that is not based on fear. I mean at least 1280x800 resolution, fast connection, etc. It means design that is technology agnostic. It's beauty will not be defined by false measures such as movement. It will be beautiful when it is still. Like a beautiful woman, she is perfectly beautiful without adornment. Like my wife, who rarely, if ever wears makeup.

The site will launch in summer or thereabouts.
