Blog.

You may be wondering why recently I am posting music and video and random shit. Well, there are a few reasons:

1.) It is my blog, and I can post whatever I want ;-)

2.) We are starting on some large assignments soon, and we are working on internal projects (like new OSNOVA website)....so I am procrastinating as I find motivation difficult in 100ºF (39ºC) temperatures. I much prefer the beach and my pool.

3.) Most importantly, this is a blog about seeing all of the world around you. Many young creatives come here to see what we are working on (which I post on occasion)  - but I think they are missing the point. If all you do is troll around and look at other people's work for inspiration you will never find your own way.

The movies, music, random shit I post is all about the world around us - that is where you will find the most inspiration. You just need to be aware of it. Seek it out.

Young creative person:  some day - you will have to find your way - "fake it till you make it" will only lead to utter disappointment and dismay. Someday, you will be in a position to run the ship - or come up with your own ideas - not just execute the ideas of others. You must be prepared. You need to find inspiration in everything you see - not just what others do. If you have built your career on aping others creativity - you are fucked.

Anyway, I highly recommend two trips for any young creative person (shelve one or two of those time-wasting ski trips if you can't afford it):

1.) PARIS
2.) LONDON

You will see more creativity in one section of these cities than you will in all of New York. I assure you. It does not matter what field you are in - print, web, etc. The windows of Galeries Lafayette (PARIS HAUSSMANN 40, boulevard Haussmann 75009 PARIS) during Christmas season are worth the trip alone.

You see, I gave you a secret that will help make you a great creative.
